We will never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by Rohani Edelstenen & Mineralen. The effective date for the validity of these terms is 01-01-2022; upon publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy policy describes what data about you is collected by us, what this data is used for, and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data, how we protect your data against misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you provide to us.

About data processing

Below you can read how we process your data, where we store it (or have it stored), what security techniques we use, and who has access to the data.

Online store software

Shopify

Our online store is developed using Shopify software. Personal data that you make available to us for the purpose of our services will be shared with this party. Shopify has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on the agreement we have with them, Shopify is obliged to take appropriate security measures. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored.

Web hosting

Shopify

We use web hosting and email services from Shopify. Shopify processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. Shopify has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Shopify is bound by confidentiality under the agreement.

Ziggo

For our regular business email traffic, we use the services of Ziggo. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Ziggo does not have access to our mailbox, and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.

Payment processors

Mollie

To handle (part of) the payments in our online store, we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address, and city details, as well as your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in that context, to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All the aforementioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie's services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not retain your data longer than permitted by statutory terms.

Reviews

WebwinkelKeur

We collect reviews via the WebwinkelKeur platform. If you leave a review via WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide a name and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this data with us so that we can link the review to your order. WebwinkelKeur also publishes your name on its own website.

In some cases, WebwinkelKeur may contact you to provide clarification on your review. In the event that we invite you to leave a review, we will share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur. They only use this data for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. WebwinkelKeur has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. WebwinkelKeur reserves the right to engage third parties for the provision of services; we have given WebwinkelKeur permission for this. All the aforementioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of the service for which WebwinkelKeur engages third parties.

Shipping and logistics

PostNL

When you place an order with us, it is our task to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL for deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address, and city details with PostNL. PostNL only uses this data for the purpose of performing the agreement. In the event that PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.

Invoicing and accounting

Administration & Consultancy Firm

For maintaining our administration and accounting, we use the services of an Administration & Consultancy Firm. We share your name, address, city details, and details related to your order. This data is used for administering sales invoices. Your personal data is transmitted and stored securely. The Administration & Consultancy Firm is bound by confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. The Administration & Consultancy Firm does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of processing

We use your data solely for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time - other than at your request - we will explicitly ask for your permission. Your data will not be shared with third parties, except to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound by confidentiality on the basis of the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.

Automatically collected data

Data automatically collected by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. This data (e.g., your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.

Cooperation in fiscal and criminal investigations

In some cases, Rohani Edelstenen & Mineralen may be legally obliged to share your data in connection with a fiscal or criminal investigation by the government. In such a case, we are forced to share your data, but we will resist this within the possibilities provided by law.

Retention periods

We retain your data as long as you are our client. This means that we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also interpret this as a request to be forgotten. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we must retain invoices with your (personal) data; we will therefore retain this data for as long as the applicable period runs. However, employees will no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have prepared as a result of your assignment.

Your rights

Based on applicable Dutch and European legislation, you, as the data subject, have certain rights regarding the personal data processed by or on our behalf. Below, we explain what these rights are and how you can exercise them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send copies of your data to the email address already known to us. In the event that you wish to receive the data at a different email address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We maintain a record of handled requests; in the case of a request to be forgotten, we administer anonymized data. All transcripts and copies of data will be provided to you in the machine-readable data format we use within our systems. You have the right at all times to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.

Right of access

You always have the right to access the data that we process (or have processed) concerning you or that can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to that effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to the email address known to us, along with an overview of the processors who hold this data, stating the category under which we have stored this data.

Right to rectification

You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) concerning you or

that can be traced back to you, adjusted. You can submit a request to that effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address known to us that the data has been adjusted.

Right to restriction of processing

You always have the right to restrict the data that we process (or have processed) concerning you or that can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to that effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to data portability

You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) concerning you or that can be traced back to you, transferred to another party. You can submit a request to that effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies of all data about you that we have processed or that have been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties, to the email address known to us. In such a case, it is highly likely that we will no longer be able to continue our services, as the secure linking of databases can no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights

In some cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Rohani Edelstenen & Mineralen. If you object, we will immediately cease data processing pending the resolution of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will make transcripts and/or copies of data that we process (or have processed) available to you and then permanently cease processing. You also have the right not to be subjected to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe that this is the case, please contact our privacy contact person.

Cookies

Third-party cookies

In the event that third-party software solutions use cookies, this is stated in this privacy statement.

Changes to the privacy policy

We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time. However, on this page, you will always find the most recent version. If the new privacy policy affects the way we process data already collected about you, we will inform you by email.
